Project Management & Control

For the non-routine and non-repetitive, there is no practice. For this we have created the "Project Plan Proposal." This is a tool we use to evaluate all of the set alternatives with your best outcome in mind. Once we have established the best combination, we form the "Routing Plan." The Routing Plan is an all-encompassing map for getting your cargo from Point A to Point Z.

Warehousing

Our warehouse boasts 30,000 square feet of prime space with a raised, smooth floor, pallet racks, and modern lighting. Although we are positioned in a safe location, we have incorporated a state-of-the-art fire & burglar alarm system.

Full cargo handling and servicing capabilities:

• Adjoining New Orleans' newly modernized port terminals.
• Four dock bays for containers and trailers.
• FDA certified (climate controlled) warehousing for pharmaceuticals.
• Cold storage (refrigerated and freezer).
• State-of-the-art Inventory Management System.
• De-vanning and vanning services with blocking and bracing.
• Wooden boxes made to minimize size (for minimal freights).
• Palletizing and shrink wrapping.

On a completely different note, our warehouse is also the general order U.S. Customs Facility for the Port of New Orleans as a General Order (GO) storing house. As such, your commodities will be treated with the same safety and security as the U.S. Customs demand.

• Programs: PL 480, Food for Peace, Food for Progress, USDA-FAS, etc.
• Countries: Bolivia, Guatemala, Ethiopia, Sudan, Kenya, the NIS, etc.
• Volumes: In NIS alone we have forwarded over 1300 containers of USG commodities to various points.
• As well, we are fully versed in the appropriate USG forms and procedures: the IFB process; carrier selection and bookings; husbanding railcar unloading and container vanning at the ports; various USDA certificates; USG summary reports; USG payment procedures; and USG completion packages, to name a few.

Our duties include but are not limited to the following:

• Submitting tenders.
• Receiving bids.
• Evaluation of bids.
• Awarding of bids for contracts.
• Contract administration.
• Processing of freight payment through USAID. This includes cargo count control, financial recordkeeping, making payments and taking credits.
• Evaluation of survey reports.
• All aspects of logistics.
• On call 24/7 including holidays to field calls and problem solve.
• For the above, provide continual advise and counsel via phone/email concerning transportation and program aspects/considerations.
