Dear friends,
It is with great pleasure for me to inform you of the arrival of the mobile CT scanner on Tuesday last week. Attached are some of the pictures that we took on the day of arrival. This machine will undoubtedly drastically improve access to imaging services mainly in the public sector. Our plan is to put the scanner to use as soon as possible by placing it at Harare Central Hospital until we secure a horse to pull the scanner for mobile services. We have therefore scheduled a meeting this week with Harare hospital staff. Coca Cola and Schweepes local bottlers representatives have been invited to the meeting.
Once again I would like to thank TCCAF and Medshare for this vital donation.
I will keep you posted on the developments as we gear up to utilising the machine.
